Reclaim Your New PC's Performance
Did you unwrap a new Windows PC this holiday season? Before you start using it, take some time to remove the bloatware that manufacturers install. Your computer will thank you.
What Is Bloatware?
Bloatware is pre-installed software you didn't ask for. It includes:
- Trial software (McAfee, Norton antivirus trials)
- Manufacturer utilities (often redundant)
- Third-party apps (games, shopping apps)
- Toolbar and browser add-ons
This software runs in the background, using RAM and CPU cycles you could use for actual work or play.
